Cititec Talent has partnered with a global commodities firm to find a Front Office Data Analyst to join their expanding team. In this role, you will work directly with traders and gain exposure to the US commodities markets, particularly in Gas and Power.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for commodity fundamentals data, strong Python skills, and an interest in supporting trading operations. It offers an exciting opportunity to develop both technical and analytical expertise, with the potential for growth into a desk analyst or even a trader role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analysing data to support trading decisions and manage key pricing and market data for power and gas.
- Develop and implement Python solutions to enhance trading strategies and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with traders and the front office to ensure decisions are based on accurate, data-driven insights.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience, ideally within the financial or commodities sector. Ideally, within the power and gas markets.
- Experience working with Market Risk, with exposure to Front Office operations.
- Strong proficiency in Python development.
- Familiarity with US Power/Gas market pricing and fundamentals data is highly desirable.
